Adam Strauss is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and co-portfolio manager of The Appleseed Fund, operated by Pekin Singer Strauss Asset Management. The Appleseed Fund is a socially responsible mutual fund and was ranked in 2008 as the top performing mid-cap value and socially responsible fund by Lipper. Strauss is a partner at Pekin Singer Strauss Asset Management, a $500 million asset manager based in Chicago. Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Adam served in several operating roles, as Sr. Vice President of Corporate Development at EquipNet, Inc. (2000-2004) and as VP of Business Development at Frontier Natural Brands (1997-2000). In addition, Adam currently serves on the Board of Directors of Frontier Natural Brands. Adam began his career as a management consultant, working for Gemini Consulting (1992-1994) and, prior to that, for Andersen Consulting (1991-1992). Adam earned a BA from Stanford University in 1991 and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1997.
